Listing
1. Main: General settings such as:
a. Administrator/ Help Desk contact information
b.Require an equipment or location to be specified when a work request is submitted.
c.Require an equipment or location to be specified when an unplanned work order is created (it does not apply when the work order is being modified).
d. Disable deletion of a work order once it is created (a work order # assigned). This will prevent work orders from being accidentally deleted. This is useful if you need to keep track of every work order number assigned for auditing purposes.
e. Change the number of days from the default 30 days in a period for Statistics. Do not make this too large as otherwise system performance will suffer as the statistics are periodically refreshed.
f. Enable/ disable automatic email processing and options
2.Requests: You can get or send alerts by email SMS/ text messages when a work request is received or updated. You can also turn on the ability to receive work requests by email. Email settings must be configured to use this.
3.Barcodes: Print and use bar codes in FastMaint. Requires the bar code module add-on to be purchased. More details of each bar code option is available here.
4.API: Turn on API access to FastMaint to retrieve and update information via third-party applications. More details of how to use the Web API is available here.
5.Email: Email settings so that FastMaint Web can send email. You will need to specify both receive email settings (POP3) as well as send email settings (SMTP).
6.Initial Setup: The initial system settings such as whether you want to create a demo database, work order numbering, work request numbering and purchase order numbering.
